• Classic still life concept: Memento Mori, remember you will die.

• Beautiful and temporary.

• Transitional life stages.

I had a more personal response to the dishes.

• Still life home spaces. 

• Contemporary touches, non-traditional surfaces occasionally alumunium, perspex.

Feels like a home I may have visited in childhood, or earlier this week.

Independently owned artist studio. Hosts solo exhibitions, studio space can also be rented I believe.

Media on paper works. Wide spaces laid out with paint, and pen line work. I see coke bottles in the vending machine. 

Exploring her past works: Faces are awesome. The rest I’d pass over.

William Holt's Abstract landscapes

• Art vs. Rubbish 

• Recycled materials.

• Disused and discarded paint. 

• Tactile partnership with the canvas, viewing it as a geological structure.

• More sculptural process allowing play with his medium.

• Element of trust in his material, reworking and relearning the medium as it appears to him. 

The conceptual and material process are attractive to me, but the visual results aren’t my personal taste.
